Welcome new members. Please introduce yourself in the "Introduce yourself here" board/section - tell us where you're at in the world too please.
This is my Science-naturalists forum. If you observe and try to explain anything in our known Universe, then you are already a naturalist (and a Scientist) - you don't need a fancy degree to be one!
Who am I? My background is that I taught Science in Secondary Schools for 15 years then worked as a Physical Science Technician for the U.S. Department of Labor. I have a B.S. from W.V. Tech, a Biological Sciences certification from WVU, and a Masters Degree from Marshall University.
The Biology board/forum here is the one that will be used the most, as most of us post on living species they observe and explain - anything from seeing a Black Bear with her Cubs to watching the Birds at your feeder in your back yard. After that, I arranged the boards in alphabetical order. Feel free and I invite you to post in any of them!

Not every field or type of Science requires one to use the Scientific Method, which intellectual discussion has agreed on. To me, if you spend time observing anything in the known Universe and attempt to logically explain it, then you are a Scientist and doing Science. If others repeat what you've done without fallacy, you've come as close to a Scientific Theory or Law than by using the Scientific Method to do so ~ Michael Piziak
